Funeral Home Manager
David Moreland has been serving families at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker since 2007 and currently serves as Funeral Home Manager. One of the most meaningful aspects of his work is the lasting relationships he has built with families and members of the community over the years. These connections, rooted in trust and shared experiences, are what make his work especially rewarding.
David has developed a strong bond with the Farmersville community, which reminds him of his hometown of Honey Grove. He values the close-knit nature of the town and the loyalty and care shown by its residents, many of whom he considers friends.
A graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services, David began his career at Restland Funeral Home before joining Hurst’s Fielder-Baker. With decades of experience, he is known for his precision, attention to detail, and dedication to honoring both families and their loved ones with the highest level of care.
Outside of work, David enjoys playing pool with friends and listening to music.

Molly Shipwash has been serving families with Hurst’s Fielder-Baker since 2022. She values the opportunity to be a steady support for families during times of loss and finds deep fulfillment in guiding them through some of life’s hardest moments. Molly takes pride in helping create meaningful, honorable services and is grateful for the trust families place in her and the funeral home.
Molly’s connection to the community began at a young age, having worked in Farmersville since she was 16. From local businesses to funeral service, she has always been drawn to serving people. She appreciates the warmth and charm of the area and describes Farmersville as a close-knit, heartfelt community with a timeless feel.
Molly graduated with honors from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in June 2024 and became licensed in August 2024 after completing both state board examinations. She is known for her attention to detail and focus on personal touches that become lasting keepsakes for families.
Outside of work, Molly enjoys exploring estate sales, thrifting, and antiquing. She loves music from 1940s jazz to classic rock and country from the 1960s and 1970s, and she is a devoted iced coffee enthusiast no matter the season.
